What is KPV?
Alpha-MSH has documented anti-inflammatory activity in research models alongside its pigmentation-related signalling. KPV isolates the C-terminal tripeptide, which retains much of the anti-inflammatory research profile without the melanocortin receptor activity of the full sequence.
That separation is the point of the fragment: it allows one property of the parent hormone to be studied without the others.
Research context
Published preclinical work examines KPV in models of intestinal and mucosal inflammation, and in cytokine-signalling assays including NF-κB pathway activity. Its very small size is thought to contribute to good tissue distribution in those models.

How KPV differs from BPC-157 and TB-500
BPC-157 and TB-500 are studied primarily in tissue-repair and angiogenesis models. KPV is studied in inflammation and cytokine signalling. They are frequently listed together under recovery research but address different mechanisms.
