What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protective protein identified in gastric juice. Unlike most peptides it is notably stable in gastric acid, which is why oral as well as injectable routes appear in the preclinical literature.
Research pathways
The published preclinical literature associates BPC-157 with angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — via VEGFR2 signalling, along with effects on fibroblast migration and growth-factor expression in tissue-injury models.
