What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protective protein identified in gastric juice. Unlike most peptides it is notably stable in gastric acid, a property noted in the preclinical literature.
Research pathways
The published preclinical literature associates BPC-157 with angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — via VEGFR2 signalling, along with effects on fibroblast migration and growth-factor expression in tissue-injury models.
