Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, developed as a synthetic counterpart to epithalamin, an extract of the pineal gland.

What is Epithalon?
Epithalamin is a peptide preparation derived from pineal tissue that was studied in Russian gerontology research from the 1970s onward. Epithalon is the synthetic four-amino-acid sequence identified as the active core of that preparation.
Its small size makes it straightforward to synthesise and unusually stable compared with longer peptides.
Telomerase research — and its limits
The most-cited findings involve reported telomerase activation and telomere elongation in cultured human somatic cells, alongside pineal and melatonin-rhythm work in animal models.
That research is largely in vitro and animal-model based, much of it from a single research lineage, and it has not been widely replicated by independent Western groups. Any supplier presenting Epithalon as a proven anti-ageing intervention is going well beyond the published evidence.

Supplied lyophilised in a 50mg vial. Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently until fully dissolved — never shake. Store at 2–8°C and use within 28 days.
